Giving Back with EvieEst. 2019 · Lagos & Abuja

Nobody eats alone on our watch.

We bring the food, the clothes and the music to families who have less. Then we pull up a chair and stay.

01 · Who we are

Giving Back with Evie takes food, clothes and essentials to families who have less, then stays to eat, dance and celebrate with them. It started in 2019 with one pot of jollof, a borrowed bus and six friends. Today it is 190 volunteers and one very long table.

02 · Story of the month

Tunde walked six kilometres to school. Barefoot.

At our Back to School drive he tried on his first pair of sandals, looked down for a long time, then ran the whole way home to show his mother. He is nine. He wants to be an engineer. He now has a maths set to prove it.

08 · A note from Evie

“I grew up in a house where the pot was always bigger than the family. That is all this is: a bigger pot, and more people at the table. Thank you for pulling up a chair.”
